About LSS

Lakeland School System (LSS) was established in December, 2013, and serves students living within the municipal boundaries of the City of Lakeland outside of Memphis in Shelby County, Tennessee. The City of Lakeland has approximately 12,500 residents and more than 2,200 school-age students. Students attend Lakeland Elementary School (Grades K-4) or Lakeland Preparatory School (Grades 5-10 with additional grades being added in the next two years).
