Kevin’s been married for 13 years and has two lovely daughters ages 8 and 4. His oldest daughter attends Lakeland Elementary. Kevin has been a practicing attorney for 14 years. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Mississippi and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee. Kevin served as Treasurer for the Vote Yes for Lakeland Schools Campaign, and is a current member of the Lakeland Elementary PTA. Kevin served on the Lakeland School Transition Planning Committee for two years leading up to his election as School Board Member.
Laura, and her husband Scott, have been married for 12 years. They have 4 children. Austin who attends Arlington High School and Hailey, Hannah, & Nathan who attend Lakeland Elementary. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Memphis and a Master of Business Administration from Bethel University. For the past 12 years she’s been a Project Engineer for a Fortune 500 company here where she’s held multiple responsibilities including project initiation, developing the project budget, data analysis and modeling, and postmortem implementation review. She is heavily involved in the Lakeland community serving as the Vice President of the Vote Yes for Lakeland campaign and she is the current VP of Legislation for Lakeland Elementary PTA Board of Managers. She is also a PTSA Member at Arlington High School.
Kelley has been married 18 years. She has 4 children ages 13, 10, 8, and 6. Her oldest (daughter) goes to Arlington Middle and her 3 boys go to Lakeland Elementary. She enjoys volunteering and participating on the PTA boards at both schools. She is a former teacher at both the Shelby County and Memphis City Schools. She earned both her Master’s Degree in Education and her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis. She was a member of the “Vote Yes” Committee for 2 years and served on the Transition Planning Committee before serving as a School Board Member.
Born and raised in Shelby County, Teresa graduated from Bartlett High School in 1983 and then attended State Technical Institute. She and her husband, TC, are parents to Jacob, Jackie & Nicole and grandmother to two handsome grandsons.
During the past nine years Teresa has served in various positions of leadership with the local PTA and received the PTA Life Achievement Award. Her professional background is in Office Management and Human Resources.
Geoff was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas and is the fifth of six children. He graduated from Little Rock Catholic High School in 1987 and studied engineering at Vanderbilt University on a Navy ROTC scholarship. After graduation and commissioning, Geoff earned a Master of Science degree in Management at Troy University before beginning Navy flight training. Geoff’s Navy career took him to San Diego, where he flew off of two different aircraft carriers and completed two Persian Gulf deployments. He left active duty in 2001 but continued to fly in the Navy Reserves for five years and is still a reservist. He’s been a pilot for FedEx since 2002 and is currently an MD11 Captain and instructor. Geoff and his family moved to Lakeland in 2011. He and his wife, Kristin, have been married for 19 years. Their two children, Olivia (10) and Charlie (5), attend Lakeland Elementary. Geoff has been active in the LES PTA doing volunteer work for numerous committees. This is his fifth year as a Watch Dog Dad, and he was the coordinator for 2014-15. Geoff’s hobbies include running, shooting, duck hunting, and cheering on his beloved Commodores. Although Geoff has traveled the world and visited 28 countries on 5 continents, his favorite place to be is at home in Lakeland.
